Chattertons was established in 1893 in Victoria Street SW1 by Mr Chatterton, he opened a branch at ‘Station Buildings’ New Eltham, now known as 401 Footscray Road, (corner of Novar Road) he sold the business to Mr Crown, who later sold the business to Mr Messant and then it was sold to Mr & Mrs Stroud in 1955. In December 1980 Michael Healey purchased the business at the age of 22 and is still running it, with outstanding associates Doug Paterson, Janet Edmonds, Tracy Scott and Katie Wright.

Chattertons have had a few moves themselves after the great property booming Margaret Thatcher years in the 1980s we decided to move across the road in 1993 to 398 Footscray Road purchasing the freehold, and after a further seventeen years in 2010 moved to 405 Footscray Road the prominent corner of Avery Hill Road and Footscray Road, and we are here to stay.

Extensive internet coverage for all our properties and many, many years of experience between the staff , I don’t think any other local agent can match over 117 years of experience under the same office roof.
